Short-Lived Summer in Chi-Town

Summer in Chicago is short-lived, so we work hard in winter and play hard in summer! This is the season where we all forgive and forget old man winter and head out into the city all day, every day. Dresses and light colors are the rage in the Windy City right now — why? Because we can of course (at least for three months). Loads of jewelry make the simplest shirts and tanks look edgy and glam, and harem pants and boy shorts pair splendidly with half boot sandals or heels.

Why this works?: The palette of light colors means one thing: summer is here. The layers of necklaces glam up a simple polka dot top and the Michael Kors bow-tie up heels add the final flair. This look pairs well with an evening out.
